The 12 weeks Prince’s Trust Team Programme for 16 – 25 year olds will be running again in Rochdale starting on 30th May 2017
The Programme is broken down into a number of different phases.
Phase 1 – Induction – You will set out what you want to achieve and find out about qualifications and certificates that you’ll earn and prepare for the residential that takes place on the 2nd week of the programme.
Phase 2 – 4 day Residential in North Yorkshire – You will have 4 days trying out challenging activities such as abseiling, rock climbing and caving. this is a great opportunity to work with others and make new friends.
Phase 3 – Community Project – A chance to develop teamwork skills by helping the local community. You will also earn your Emergency First Aid, Food Safety and Defibrillator qualifications in this phase.
Phase 4 – Work Placements – Put your new-found skills to the test in a real work environment. Try out a role that you are interested in. the work placement will give you practical experience and a reference that you could put on your CV
Phase 5 – Employability – We will help you produce your own impressive and up-to-date CV. We will also help you with application form filling, interview skills and career advice, we will also set you up with a mock interview which will help you prepare for the real thing.
Phase 6 – Team Challenge – Your chance as a team to plan and organise an event that benefits a group from the local community. This will enable you to talk about real life planning skills in a job interview.
Phase 7 – Final Presentation – This is a chance to show off the skills you have development on the programme. You will be presented with all the certificates you have gained throughout the programme.
Level 2 Food Hygiene, Level 2 First Aid and Level 2 Defibrillator Training are all included in the programme,
The young people who finish the programme will also receive the level 1 Prince’s Trust Certificate in Employment, Team work and Community Skills.
