Cartwheel Arts

Cartwheel Arts promotes social inclusion, cohesion, diversity and regeneration through community participation in vibrant, innovative, high-quality arts projects. Cartwheel has over 30 years experience of promoting imaginative, and often challenging arts projects – we do not shy from confronting difficult or sensitive issues.  Our focus is on participation, enabling people who may have had little experience of the arts to explore and develop their creativity and talents, generating a sense of ownership and pride. – See more at: http://www.cartwheelarts.org.uk/about-us/#sthash.aCUr87rj.dpuf

Art for Wellbeing is our programme of work focused on arts and health, we deliver projects that enhance and support wellbeing using creativity, across Greater Manchester. In Rochdale we deliver CRESS (Creative Referal Engagement and Support Service) and in Heywood we manage Art & Soul an art and support group.

CRESS, funded by HMR Heywood Middleton and Rochdale CCG, provides a pathway service for Art for Wellbeing in Rochdale.  A combination of taster sessions, Enter Art courses and Next Steps groups, the service allows for varying levels of engagement and supports wellbeing progression.

Taster sessions allow an introduction to Art for Wellbeing, Enter Art courses provide structured art making, a relaxing environment and social interaction, Next Steps encompasses Artful, our participant led group in Rochdale.
